This exhibition and museum spotlight was designed to merge precision lighting with ambient illumination, addressing the specific needs of curated spaces. Developed during a 5-days workshop of the Master’s program in Design & Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, the project was commissioned and selected by the renowned lighting company Artemide.
The design centers on a track lighting fixture with dual functionality. A focus light offers adjustable beam aperture for targeted illumination, ideal for highlighting artworks and exhibits. Simultaneously, the fixture's semi-transparent body emits a soft, general light, creating a balanced ambient atmosphere.
This innovative solution combines aesthetics, versatility, and technical performance, reflecting Artemide’s ethos of blending design and functionality. Developed collaboratively by a multidisciplinary team, the spotlight exemplifies advanced lighting design tailored for museum and exhibition environments.
